A charming 17th-century cottage in a quaint village with countryside views and pub, farm shop, Wellness Barn and brewery just a short walk

The red-brick cottage was once the hop store for Edington Priory Church, consecrated in 1361 and with a tower containing ten bells which you will hear on Sundays – the whole experience couldn't be more English. Walk in to an open-plan ground floor with cosy fire, comfy seating and plenty of books and games – a TV pulls out when you want it. A separate games room is a fun space with dartboard, table football and bar-style seating.

Two peaceful bedrooms are upstairs and have plush bedding, fabric headboards and stylish lamps; bathrooms sport Bramley soaps and lotions. The kitchen has all you need for rustling up meals and you can stock up with a discount at the farm shop, but most folk will head to the Three Daggers. Here you can sample their own beer and taste wonderful, seasonal food from local suppliers or even home grown.

Book into the spa, join courses and events or simply settle in your cosy cottage after a day out walking.
