Come to eat very well indeed and to experience seemingly effortless efficiency with great attention to detail behind the scenes – the owners and staff here really know what they're doing. Spend time in the lounge – a huge room with large picture windows overlooking the bay, where you can enjoy the best coffee on Skye, see local art, play games or simply sit quietly with a book.
When it's time to eat you'll be happy: all is cooked over wood fire, and there is a set tasting menu every night. The difference here is that the owners know the name of the guy who caught the lobster, they know where the mussels were grown, the meat is grass fed on regenerative farms and the vegetables and salads come from their croft, two miles up the road. Food is their passion, and they'll happily give you a tour of the kitchen if you ask.
Simple, beautiful bedrooms sit upstairs and all have blissful views, local wool, sink-into beds, and delicious-smelling soaps.
