A joy to arrive back here after a long day of walking/cycling/time on water and generally exhausting yourselves in the stunning countryside – you'll find heated rails for wet gear, an enormous wood-burner in the open-plan kitchen/diner with a full cupboard of spices, herbs and olive oil to get cooks off to a grand start, even martini glasses for those who wish to sit in the window seat and chatter.
The two main downstairs bedrooms (one en suite with a bath tub and the other with a walk-in shower) have delectable looking beds, swathed in linen, and gorgeous views; upstairs you'll find another, with twin beds and a bunk bed. There's plenty of space to spread out with a little TV snug and a play barn outside, plus a patio with more views for al fresco summer meals. The stargazing will be superb.
There are good walks and cycles straight from the door – all you can see is hills and some other distant buildings from this rural idyll.
