Highbrook Cottage - Self-catering in Powys
Whinyard Rocks, New Radnor, LD8 2TG, Powys
Wales,
Regno Unito
At the end of a beautiful approach that takes in views of the high ridge of the Black Mixen and the Forest of Radnor, this sweet, whitewashed cottage tucked away in a remote corner of rural Wales has real 'middle-of-nowhere' appeal.
Inside you'll find a contemporary cottage-core vibe: vintage Welsh blankets, 300-thread-count linens on the pillowy beds, eco toiletries, and a welcome basket of homemade Welsh cakes, fresh duck eggs from next door and a bottle of something lovely and local to revive your spirits.
South-facing with a pretty little stream running through the front garden and a vineyard nearby, the 17th-century cottage has been sensitively restored by the owners. Explore the waterfalls and woodlands of nearby valleys before returning home, tired and weary. Put your feet up with a good book, a roaring fire, and let all sense of the hustle and bustle of the modern world melt from your mind.
