Elegant proportions and country-house style are pleasing to the eye. Play billiards or take a book to the salon, make tea and coffee in the living room with its easy chairs or hide away in the library. The whole of the ground floor is yours, apart from the kitchen. Take breakfast in the dining room with a fire lit on cool days: fresh croissants and pains au chocolat from the local bakery, good jams, locally roasted coffee.
Bedrooms and suites (one on the ground floor, the rest above) are very big, all with a different colour scheme, but each has wonderful views over the garden or vines, and each a sumptuous bathroom with local organic soaps and lotions. On sunny days you can sit out on the terrace (or have breakfast here) admiring the ponds, or find a shady spot under a tree for a doze. There's plenty of lawn for children or dogs to gambol and the ponds are fenced.
If you take the whole house you have use of a charming kitchen.
