You're greeted by the owners and shown around – this is a very personal experience and will suit sociable souls. You'll find home-baked biscuits and small seating areas in your themed bedroom – one on the ground, the others on the second or third floor, all with a sparkling shower room. The front entrance is a shared sitting room with sofas and armchairs – here you'll find the honesty bar with local beer and fruit juice. There's a sheltered outdoor area too for games of ping-pong.
Breakfast is a feast: bread and pastries from the nearby bakery, local organic jams, homemade organic yogurts and crêpes, Breton granola, hams and salamis, coffee from Maison Reux, delicious chocolat chaud. You can order dinner (outside of the summer months) on nights when the village restaurant is closed.
The garden is a gorgeous place to be on a sunny day with a big lawn, picnic benches, mature trees and a good-sized pool for proper lengths.
