This large house dates from the 14th century and has been added onto over the years. It stands behind imposing gates in a wooded parkland with a duck pond and an assortment of animals including goats, chickens and a donkey.
There are three spacious and comfortable bedrooms and the sitting room has books, games and tourist information. Choose what you'd like for breakfast the night before and enjoy it next to the wood-burner in the dining room or by the swimming pool. You can put something together yourself in the kitchen for dinner; in the summer you can request dinner four nights a week or order a cheese platter with local wine.
The pretty historic town of Dole is known locally as 'petite Venise' due to its waterways and is a five-minute drive away. There are lots of walks directly from the house and more if you drive a short distance, and you can also hire bikes and follow a route that runs for 26 miles through the Doubs valley.
