Part of a former barn alongside their large, handsome ‘maison de maitre’ in the village of Rieux-Minervois, this smart, spacious, first floor ‘loft’ has been made seriously comfortable by enthusiastic, generous British owners. The sitting room has plenty of books and DVDs; the open-plan kitchen comes with the best equipment and a long wooden dining table.
Pretty bedrooms – doubles opening onto the terrace – have great beds, antique French wardrobes and top-quality bathrooms with fluffy towels and robes and oodles of gorgeous lotions and potions courtesy of The White Company. The partially shaded terrace with mosaic-topped table and chairs looks onto the large garden with its fine collection of Mediterranean plants and trees – yours to wander in and retreat to from the heat of the day.
Spend days floating in the super pool or relaxing in the walled courtyard. You'll find a fridge, microwave and dining table out here too for fabulous al fresco meals - it's a lovely place to stay.

- Languedoc enjoys more than 300 days of sunshine each year making it an ideal year-round destination. Hot summer months are perfect for relaxing by the pool or on the coast by the Med, whilst the temperate months are perfect for exploring and sightseeing.
- The Minervois lies between the Montagne Noire and the Mediterranean. We can arrange bike, boat and kayak hire to explore the region by land and water. Take 'le piq-niq' or stop-off at one of the many restaurants personally recommended by Karen & Russell.
