The kitchen, dining room and sitting room are on the ground floor along with two huge bedrooms – big enough to waltz around and with plump, inviting beds. They share a pleasing bathroom with a big tub and a long cane chair for chatterers.
Up a spiral staircase there's a handy mezzanine with a study and extra sofa bed. Cook sociably in the big kitchen and eat in the dining room, or take it all outside to the terrace on balmy evenings – you'll find a barbecue out here for summer suppers listening to the river ambling along.
The twice-weekly local market brims with enticing food, there are gentle walks from the door and lovely gardens to roam. The shared pool is yours from 10am to 7pm or you can swim in the river at any time – take a picnic and find a restful spot.
