Half the property is divided into separate cottages, one with views over the garden, the other looking over the pool. Both are decorated well and have high, beamed ceilings, light wooden floors, comfortable seating and colourful art. A shared, covered terrace offers welcome shade, there's a quiet reading area, outdoor dining table and benches for long lunches and a Kamado Joe for outdoor cooking. The pool has terraces with sun beds but on rare rainy days you'll find books, board games and a flat-screen TV.
There are four bedrooms in the large cottage and the smaller one is a bolthole for two. All have sumptuous bedding with colourful throws and open onto the terrace or the swimming pool so you can drift seamlessly in and out. Children will enjoy watching the donkeys and goats bounding around the paddock, you will feel peaceful in this deep countryside – France at its best.
