The French Farmhouse in Quercy - Self-catering house in Tarn-et-Garonne
The French Farmhouse, 82150 Montaigu-de-Quercy, Tarn-et-Garonne
Midi - Pyrénées,

Take a coffee to ‘The Bolet’, the old veranda on the first floor, and watch the sun rise. This 300-year-old retreat, reached by a winding track across green fields, feels wonderfully remote. Yet civilisation is a six-minute drive, in medieval Montaigu and Tournon; at night you see Monflanquin's lights twinkling on the hill.
Bastide towns, many with marchés gourmands, abound: Lauzerte, Roquecor, Monflanquin. Stock up at Montaigu’s Saturday market, or take a picnic to the lake for pedalos, parasols and sands. For walkers, the area is a dream; a hiking path runs right by.
Play badminton and rounders before lunch. There’s a huge lounge downstairs furnished with karaoke, mini cinema and DVDs and another sitting room with games and books. The marvellous kitchen is upstairs, and a second kitchen a step away from the barbecue and pool.
