Les Rochers - Bed & Breakfast in Manche
Route de la Malbreche 424 Lieu-dit Les Rochers, 50680 Cerisy la Forêt, Manche
Normandy,
Francia
The pale stone buildings form a four-sided courtyard and are surrounded by acres of organic pasture. Colourful seating and a professional kitchen (which you are free to use) are found in the Auberge – help yourselves to hot drinks or something from the honesty bar, relax by the wood-burner, choose a book from the shelves. It's a lovely big room with original artworks on stone walls and racks of wine.
Bedrooms are dotted about but all have a mix of modern and antique furniture and sparkling en suite bathrooms. Good food is at the heart of this place: breakfast is a feast of locally produced and mostly organic treats including one of Konstantin's surprise dishes – sometimes eggs Benedict, or tortilla, or a freshly baked cake. Fresh crêpes are served twice a week. Order a seafood platter on Fridays, enjoy a pop-up restaurant twice a month and a gourmet table d'hôtes with a chef once a week.
Hidden in the meadows are two ponds with shady trees and seating. It's peaceful here.
