A delightful place, hidden down a side street. The house belonged to Marco’s father and is now the perfect small hotel, run with artistic flair. Marble floors, white walls and scarlet furnishings are a dramatic setting for black-and-white photos, their starkness softened by luxuriant plants.
The dining room has vaulted ceilings, whitewashed walls and cherry wood tables. Bedrooms are fresh and vary in size; some have balconies and wonderful views, all have small, perfect bathrooms. There’s a lovely sitting room and bar for guests – breakfasts are buffet style and continental – and a small jasmine-scented courtyard for an evening drink. A very peaceful oasis in the city.
The friendly staff will do everything to make your stay enjoyable; ask about Rome’s secret corners or pick up a copy of Marco's extensive guide book and discover them for yourselves – almost everything is within walking distance.
