In the middle of the Apulian countryside, soundtracked by cicadas and surrounded by ancient olive groves, a cluster of whitewashed trulli are hidden down small country lanes. You take the whole place, sleeping four in two separate 200-year-old trulli with a shared kitchen in the fourth building.
The conical roofs are unique to this area, and inside there’s a rustic-chic feel: old fireplaces, thick walls, cool stone floors and simple but high-quality furnishings. En suite bathrooms all have beautiful stone sinks. Outside, a small pool glitters among gardens dotted with swings and hammocks, while fruit trees and fragrant herbs scent the air.
There are two kitchens, one in a Lamia and one in the annexe. You're left a good bottle of wine and you can enjoy long, lazy meals with glass doors opening onto the terrace and gardens. Pop to lovely Francavilla for shops and restaurants. The Ionian coast is close too.
