Antica Corte delle Ninfee - Self-catering apartments in Sicily
Badia Grande Street, 14, 91100 Trapani
Sicily,
Italia
Lose yourselves in the bustling golden streets, with three lovely churches and two squares, much history to be discovered and some traditional restaurants and cafés within walking distance. The three apartments (one is in a former 15th-century chapel) are reached through the garden in the old courtyard – they are comfortable and have all you need, including well-equipped kitchens. It's possible to take all the apartments together and have the whole place to yourselves.
Living spaces are roomy enough with leather sofas and small tellies for rainy days; all the apartments have outdoor tables in the communal garden, shaded by mature trees. Climb a few steps to a covered patio with wicker sofa and armchairs, a small fridge and some local wines – just put the money in a box.
Wander the important garden, the only one of its kind in Trapani's old town; enjoy a glass of wine under the orange trees, discover a 400-year-old grapevine and a 300-year-old jasmine – the scent is magical.

Punti d'interesse locali da
Renata Luna Marrone:
- Welcome to a place where time softens and history still breathes. In the heart of Trapani’s old town, this former convent remains a real family home, lovingly cared for across generations and filled with quiet beauty.
- Step outside and the city unfolds at walking pace. Beaches are 6 minutes away, the ferry to the Egadi Islands just 4. Golden streets, small restaurants and historic churches surround the property in an atmosphere that feels authentic and lived in.
- Behind ancient stone walls lies a hidden garden unlike any other in the old town. Jasmine blooming for over 300 years, 400-year-old vines and a century-old orange tree create a rare, cool sanctuary in Trapani’s historic centre.
- At the centre of the garden lives Agatha, a gentle freshwater turtle who rests in an ancient stone basin with water lilies and carp. Her slow pace reflects the calm and timeless spirit of the place where Luna and her elderly father welcome you.
- Everything connects easily from here. Train and bus stations are within walking distance, as well as the cable car to Mount Erice. The Egadi Islands, salt pans and medieval villages become effortless day journeys.
- Just outside the ancient walls stands the historic pastry workshop La Rinascente, where traditional Sicilian sweets are still prepared from old recipes. The scent of warm pastries becomes part of the experience.
