Hensill Farmhouse - Self-catering house in Kent
Hawkhurst, TN18 4QH, Kent
England,
Regno Unito
This stand-alone, scrupulously renovated Victorian gardener's cottage sits on a private estate up a winding farm track and has plenty of space for four. Downstairs you'll find a sitting room with a wood-burning fire, soft-coloured walls and an uncluttered feel. There's also a study for those who need to work. The kitchen is semi-open to the sitting room making it a good gathering space and you're left a very generous welcome hamper with locally-sourced produce. In summer you can wander out to the terrace through double glass doors.
Upstairs are two tranquil bedrooms with deep mattresses, crisp white cotton and lovely views over the countryside. One has an en suite shower, the other a family bathroom – both are warm and pretty with fluffy towels and soaps and lotions from Oast & Rye.
Enjoy sociable cooking and eating in the lovely kitchen, settle down for a film in front of the fire, or walk just under a mile to the Eight Bells pub.
