Come to be looked after with delicious food and spoiling bedrooms in this mini stately home set in gorgeous parkland near Ludlow

Wind through mature parkland to a striking cedar of Lebanon on the front lawn and a stately 1740s house with sustainability and conservation at the heart of everything they do. Step inside and it feels like stepping back in time with echoes of glamorous house parties.

Two spacious sitting rooms invite you to explore shelves of books and stacks of board games – a TV can be arranged. Everywhere your eyes are drawn to ornate carvings, gilt-framed family portraits, silver and ceramic objets and traditional custom-made furniture. A grand central staircase leads to three elegant bedrooms with windows framing glorious views of the picturesque landscape. You can walk through woodland and pasture then onto the 30-mile Mortimer Trail.

Arabella sets you up with homemade everything: bread, compotes, granola, apple juice, and eggs from happy hens. Take a cold dip in the original bath house fed by a natural spring, stroll into Georgian Ludlow or spend the day visiting historic Shrewsbury.
