Euridge is enchanting and The Orangery sits high at its heart with much space for entertaining and stunning views across the gardens

Bowl down the tree-lined drive to discover this magical place basking in 450 acres of farmland. Wander the gardens freely, designed by highly regarded Isabel and Julian Bannerman. There's a faux-monastic feel to the Georgian architecture with a ruin here, archways there, a lake with thatched boathouse, water features and grottos.

Climb stone steps to the Orangery, which is clad in many roses and Magnolia grandiflora with a parterre of clipped box, topiary, citrus in huge pots. The interior, flooded with light from a vaulted glass ceiling and French windows, has underheated floors, a sitting room at one end and a long table for 12. After a hearty walk, unbend in your own wood-burning sauna.

Bedrooms with four-posters and en suite bathrooms are at either end of the building; a small kitchen has all you need and you can hire a chef, or walk along footpaths to the village. There's a tennis court, a lake and a generous feel all round.
