This smart manor tucked in a tiny hamlet has bags of character, an indoor farmhouse-style kitchen, a well-equipped outdoor kitchen, and a Moroccan-inspired courtyard. It's the perfect setup for convivial outdoor suppers, cooked by owners Ian and Hugh or a local chef; they can arrange wine-tastings and cakes for special occasions.
Everything has been planned to perfection: a pool, hot tub and mezzanine gym plus quiet spaces to retreat with a book. There are three ground floor en suite bedrooms (two doubles, one twin/double) plus a guest cottage with a double en suite bedroom on the first floor, all individually styled and looking over the pretty gardens. The master has its own private terrace. Chase the sun or the shade around the tree-sprinkled five acres, set up the barbecue, sip an aperitif and plan tomorrow's adventure.
The Dordogne is at your feet: visit châteaux and picturesque villages, shop for delicious local produce at Ribérac's lively market, lake swim at La Jemaye. The closest restaurant is 2km.
