You're on the edge of a pretty village, but once through the gate and into the gardens, the feel is incredibly rural and quiet. Downstairs rooms are spacious and elegant with individually made lampshades and linen curtains – plenty of light pours in from windows overlooking the terraces and gardens. A desk is perfect for writers, there are secluded places to hide with a book and you'll find games and a TV for rainy days.
The sleek kitchen is a good size and is well equipped with all you need – there's also a coffee-making station on the landing for your morning brew. The main double bedroom is upstairs, en suite, and with views over vineyards, terracotta rooftops and the hills beyond. An extra day bed and a sofa bed in the living room can take overflow, plus a B&B room in the house for larger parties.
One of your outdoor terraces is for dining and not overlooked; the other leads down to the gardens and pool, with views over vineyards.

- Hameau Duboeuf, a theme park all about wine, is a 5-minute drive from the house. Dine at their restaurant and taste Beaujolais wines.
- Visit Abbaye de Cluny (30 mins) and Abbaye de Brou in Bourg en Bresse (40 mins).
- As well as being famous its wines, the Beaujolais region was classified as a UNESCO Geopark in 2019 for its unique landscapes and remarkable geology.
