The high walls and antique door of this 17th-century fortified farmhouse protect a courtyard where pots, bougainvillea and shutters create a harmonious atmosphere. Inside all is full of colour and family history. The fine big dining room opens onto the orange grove, its table and Moroccan lights for summer suppers, and there's a fireplace for winter evenings.
The library has a large collection of books in English and Italian and there are interesting pictures and objects which reflect the family's worldwide travels. Bedrooms are light and spacious, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking but you can also hire a cook.
Join in with harvesting the olives in October, find a quiet spot to sit and read in the gardens, float in the big pool, play tennis, revel in the peace or head for the coast.
