Perched high on a hillside with views so stunning it feels like you've stepped into a postcard, this rustic stone farmhouse has light-filled rooms, wood-beamed ceilings, a huge fireplace and the beautiful cotto floors that are so typically Italian. Outside there's a terrace with a barbecue and a table for long, lingering lunches. Stairs lead down the pretty garden with the swimming pool and olive groves beyond.
Breakfast is a treat. Almost everything comes from within a mile or two – fresh yogurts and cheeses from a local dairy, traditional Corsini biscuits, homemade cakes and breads, organic free-range eggs, cured meats, and of course, excellent coffee. Dinners are convivial, served around a communal table with a choice of Tuscan wines.
Although you might be tempted to never leave, the owner Olivia can arrange guided tours and wine tastings too.
