There are vast views over the vineyards, rolling hills and woodland from both the lodge, a former 'chai' (winery), and the cottage. Both have calming, simple interiors in wood and stone with natural paints and organic cotton sheets. Rainwater is harvested and solar panels are on the way. Kitchens are very well equipped, showers are neat-as-a-pin and crystal glasses are provided for tasting the delicious organic and biodynamic wines produced on the estate.
It's a short walk to Saussignac for a community café and a superb restaurant - collect fresh bread and croissants from Le Fournil de Gardonne, 4km. Enjoy a one hour morning yoga class, cycle along the Grande Randonnée, stroll through the woods and vineyards or enrol on a course and let the owners immerse you in the intricate world of growing, creating and understanding their wine production.
Light the barbecue and settle outdoors on comfy deckchairs to admire the stupendous views, sleep soundly in the peace.
