Anne was in hotel management, Glyn was a London-trained chef… and their dog will greet yours with a happy wag (expect dog dishes and dog beds too). Not only do your hosts provide big beds, small balconies, olive-oil toiletries and eco-friendly fans, they are a font of local knowledge. Cycle over viaducts and past amazing scenery on the revitalised track of the olive oil railway: the 'Via Verde.' Visit white-walled Priego de Córdoba, baroque pearl of the Subbética - a 15-minute drive. Or head for the Alhambra in Granada or Córdoba's dazzling cathedral; each are an hour's drive.
Return to a jolly aperitivo in town, and stroll home to an Andaluz dinner - fresh, original, and delicious.
