A big house tucked up a quiet lane, there's plenty of space for fabulous retreats – yoga groups, family get-togethers, even a wedding. Bedrooms – the most peaceful at the back – are luxurious, glamorous, with comfortable beds and Sky TV; contemporary bathrooms have organic oils and rainwater showers. An additional two bedrooms are in the little cottage in the grounds which is perfect for those wanting a bit more privacy.
There's an indoor/outdoor sitting room on whose wicker sofas you can linger, a barbecue to fire up and a table for al fresco meals on the terrace. The kitchen is well-equipped and Chantelle can stock up with groceries for your arrival or you can hire a private chef. Find board games, books, exotic garden flowers... organic wines from the vineyard on the hill, bikes to borrow (Fraser is a keen cyclist) and log fires in winter.
Stay in for long, lazy suppers or choose from plenty of good restaurants nearby.
