Malaga Hills sits high up in the mountains east of Malaga, in one of Europe's sunniest corners. Bedrooms are spacious and most have their own terraces with wonderful views - generous breakfasts are best enjoyed outside in the morning sunshine. Hikers will be happy with trails starting almost from the door - set off on the spectacular route through the white villages of the Axarquia, with the Caminito de la Axarquia being hailed as one of the most beautiful walks in Spain by the Spanish Hiking Federation.
Swim in the large heated pool, chill in the infrared sauna, book a massage or treatment, browse the 3,000 volume library or keep fit in the gym. There are glorious views from the terrace out towards hills dotted with white-washed villas, the La Maroma mountain peak, and down to the coast.
The hotel is Green Key certified and guests enjoy it hugely. It's a tranquil base for hiking, winter sunshine, wellness and a little pampering.
