A cleverly planned 2020 large family home with all the bells and whistles for superb holidays – swimming pool, gym, barbecue and garden

The open-plan, high-ceilinged living room is gloriously uncluttered, filled with light and beauty – the feel is sleek, contemporary and warm all at once – design afficionados will be seduced. On cooler days you'll be cosy with underfloor heating and a merry wood-burner, children will find a playroom, there's a big screen for watching a film and a gym. Even the barbecue and outdoor kitchen are covered.

Mostly you'll be out in the sunshine enjoying the heated pool, playing games on the lawn, throwing open the big doors and letting the outside in. Everyone can comfortably cook together in the spotless modern kitchen and there are two large dining spaces, one indoors and the other al fresco.

Up the graceful floating staircase are four peaceful bedrooms overlooking the gardens, restful and calm, two with en suite shower rooms and two sharing a shower. There's a bathroom in the playroom, another loo downstairs and an outdoor bathroom by the pool. Nothing has been forgotten.
