Mas de la Croix d’Arles - Bed & Breakfast in Bouches-du-Rhône
Chemin des Servières, 13210 St Rémy de Provence, Bouches-du-Rhône
Provence - Alps - Riviera,
Francia
St Rémy is Provence on a plate: the ancient streets, artists, restaurants, the colourful weekly market, lush valleys and clear light which inspired Van Gogh. A short walk down the canal, a properly Provençal farmhouse distils this peace in a bubble of olives, vines and fruit trees. Tucked away in a pale stone bungalow are two light-filled B&B rooms, whose slate tiles, painted beams and fiery red splashes give a chic twist to Provençal style. You share a plunge pool with gîte guests, and breakfast on the terrace with lovely Jordane, who'll spill the area's best-kept secrets from hilltop Les Baux to the ochre-tinged Lubéron.
