The Bradley Hare - Inn in Wiltshire
Church Street, Maiden Bradley, BA12 7HW, Wiltshire
England,
Regno Unito
It's oh so cosy walking in here, with antique furniture, interesting artwork and flickering candlelight, rugs on wooden or slate floors, wood-burners or open fires, a collection of pewter mugs and decanters – this has been a coaching inn since 1865, so you're breathing in history. Jaek Kelly is at the helm in the kitchen where the menu is shaped by the seasonal South West larder: local game, farm-reared meats, Cornish day boat fish and locally grown vegetables. Try their own Hare Ale with your food, or something else tasty from a local brewery.
Sleep it all off in fine bedrooms (some in the main building, others in the Coach House) with Siberian goose down duvets, rich fabrics, huge roll-top baths and a handy larder of treats. Spend balmy days in the sunny garden.
Wake to scrumptious breakfasts – try local chalk stream trout with perfectly cooked scrambled eggs on toast, or if you need it, help yourself to a bracing Bloody Mary.
