The house, originally part of the Romanée Conti estate, sits in a shallow valley with the hillsides covered in these, now legendary, vines. You'll feel quite private with the owners in another wing and B&B guests separate - although you can join them for delicious breakfasts if you don't want to worry about cooking: bread and pastries, fresh fruits and yogurts, pancakes and freshly-baked tarts. You can stay in for dinner too - Sylvain likes to rework classic hearty meals accompanied perfectly by the local wines.
The owners can help you plan wonderful walks through vineyards and forests to discover the pretty villages of the area. Return to a beautiful old stone fireplace for chilly evenings and plenty of seating for everyone. Up wooden stairs to the bedrooms, both with antique furniture and terracotta tiled floors.
The kitchen is fine for two, tucked into the sitting room. Eat out on your private terrace and lawn, feeling French.
