When all the visitors have left you can pack up a picnic, take a bottle of wine and head out to play lord and lady of the manor. You sleep in either the Astor Wing or the Anne Boleyn Wing, tucked away from most of the bustle of the castle so it'll feel peaceful. Breakfast is served in an impressive dining room or charming breakfast room depending on your wing: porridge with cream, a Full Hever, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, or perhaps smashed avocado on sourdough.
Bedrooms have their own unique style, some with four-poster beds and roll-top baths, all with sparkling en suite bathrooms and lovely views over gardens or grounds. Join in with one of the many activities on the estate, or simply enjoy your own space – the Astor Wing has a sitting room with an open fire, deep sofas and good art.
You can order a private tour of the castle, or join a falconry display and there are lovely walks in every direction.

- With 680 acres to explore, walk in the beautifully laid Tudor Gardens and marvel at the spectacular Italian Garden developed by William Waldorf Astor in 1903. Statuary, fountains, a maze and even a 38 acre lake to walk around, wellies provided if required!
- Bring the children! With an adventure playground, a water maze, boating on the lake, ice-cream kiosks there's lots to do! There are places to eat on the Estate during the day & the local pub is within walking distance for a great evening meal.
- If relaxing is the name of the game, then sit back and enjoy the Music Room, where a good selection of newspapers books and board games are provided. There' s also a Billiards Room. The reception bar stocks a good selection of drinks and nibbles.
- Stay a couple of nights and use Hever Castle as a base to discover other places of interest. Chartwell, Glyndebourne, Penshurt Place, Groombridge Place Gardens to name but a few. There's a Golf Course on site and in the summer an outdoor Theatre.
