The Pembroke Arms - Inn in Wiltshire
Minster Street,
Wilton,, Salisbury, SP2 0BH, Wiltshire
England,
Regno Unito
You're on the edge of town, close to the gates of Wilton House. Gardens are extensive, Nole Pizza operates from one of the barns and there's a huge covered terrace, fully heated for winter fun and transformed into a festival-style dining room in summer. Indoors, find antique furniture, fresh flowers, proper linen napkins and colourful fabrics providing a contemporary touch.
You'll eat well: breakfasts include vegan options and a Bloody Mary station along with all the usual suspects; lunch and dinner menus champion a rich variety of ingredients from Wiltshire – handmade shortcrust and puff pastry pies, Nole sourdough pizzas, à la carte dishes, superb Sunday lunches. Hand-pumped ales, cocktails and a decent wine list are the icing on the cake.
Sleep it off in smart bedrooms, not huge but very cosy and pretty and with all the right stuff – emergency kit, good coffee machine, fresh milk and cookies, lots of local information.

The Bookings Team at The Pembroke Arms:
- Wilton House: Just over the road. You can enjoy an amble through the house, around the grounds, or a play in the adventure playground. Lord Pembroke's rather spectacular car collection is on show, and the café is nice too.
- Salisbury Cathedral: The medieval city of Salisbury is home to Salisbury Cathedral and also our little pizza shop on the market square. The 13th-century cathedral sits amongst 80 acres of stunning grounds and has one of Europe's tallest spires.
- Stonehenge: You can't miss it – it's just down the road. The more humble and less famous sidekick, Woodhenge, which we rather like, is just next door, and there aren't any queues for this one either.
- Grovely Wood: This is one of Wiltshire's largest ancient woodlands, featuring scenic walking trails, a Roman road, and rich wildlife including the rare Purple Emperor butterfly.
- Salisbury Museum: Located in the Cathedral Close, Salisbury Museum offers nationally significant collections including Stonehenge artefacts, medieval finds, and local art – all housed in a Grade I listed building.
