RozVen - Les Tilleuls de la Plage - Self-catering house in Ille-et-Vilaine
35350 Saint-Coulomb, Ille-et-Vilaine

Francia
Once home to the French author Colette, who set her novel Le Blé en Herbe here and planted the pines that still tower over the grounds, the house is part of a wider hamlet on a private coastal estate. Salt air had rotted much of the original woodwork so the local owners had to restore the buildings almost from scratch.
What has emerged pairs 20th-century antiques with an easy, lived-in charm, from the wood panelled sitting and dining room to its chequerboard floor. A workspace with Wi-Fi sits ready for anyone who needs it. The two upstairs bedrooms here are filled with treasures, furniture and art: a king with room for a cot and a bathroom down the hall, and a twin with a shower and basin.
Downstairs, a compact galley kitchen suits a couple of cooks working together. Take your drinks onto the south-facing terrace and enjoy the sea breezes. Later, wander through the pines to the wide, sandy beach for a refreshing dip.

- Mont-Saint-Michel, Dinan and Saint-Suliac Visit Mont-Saint-Michel, the medieval streets of Dinan and the beautiful riverside village of Saint-Suliac. Within an hour of RozVen, a thousand years of Breton history are waiting to be explored.
