Ty Ucha'r Ffordd - Self-catering cottage in Conwy
The Bodnant Estate, Tal-y-cafn, LL28 5RE, Conwy
Wales,
Regno Unito
Set back from a quiet country lane, this traditional stone cottage invites you to unwind in the green, green landscape of North Wales with nothing but the gentle bleating of nearby sheep to disturb your zen. Inside, the house has been thoughtfully modernised but retains plenty of charm. A welcome hamper of wine, coffee and tea along with locally made bara brith, jams and crackers awaits you.
Hunker down for a game of cards in the snug sitting room (a wood-burner keeps things cosy) or sink into the bath with views across the Eglwysbach valley to Snowdonia's Carneddau mountains beyond. Little kids will love the cosy cabin bed, while upstairs there's spacious ensuite bedroom for the grown-ups.
Although the garden is simple, there's a barbecue to cook on and a terraced area with outdoor seating. There are private walks through farmland and woodland – and beaches, mountains, fishing, birdwatching, golf, history and more to enjoy.
